Meet The Team
Rod has 40 years of high street clearing bank experience and been a director of IBP for 7 years.
Roles during his corporate career have included Head of a Commercial Banking team of 10 managers, Credit Approver, Senior Commercial Lending Manager for the county of Nottinghamshire, in addition to business development and major client management.
ACIB qualified, Rod has specialisms in International Trade, Invoice and asset finance, and structuring proposals for approval.
Client satisfaction has always been his core objective and remains so to this day. A keen fisherman and rider of a Honda Goldwing motorcycle, Rod says “It doesn’t matter if you are a start up or a multi-million pound business, if we can help, we will”
Helen set up IBP alongside Rod Whitehead in 2014, following a 37 year career at a high street bank.
During Helen’s banking career, she specialised in distressed lending and invoice finance, also working within the franchise unit.
Her final role in her banking career was as the Senior commercial lending manager for the county of Derbyshire.
More recently with IBP Helen has brokered deals from property to invoice finance and MBO’s.
For IBP, Helen also recently completed 24 months on project work supporting the Independent Third Party addressing complaints from small business customers of a major high street bank.
Outside of IBP, Helen is a significant supporter of Guide Dogs for the Blind, looking after a number of dogs at various times and stages.
Neil spent 28 years working for several of the high street banks prior to taking a business development role with an East Midlands based accountancy practice where he spent two years.
Neil joined IBP as an associate director in April 2018. Specialist roles have included property development and investment and supporting numerous management teams in acquiring their businesses.
A large percentage of free time is spent supporting Guide Dogs for the Blind by Puppy Raising, looking after a puppy for around 12 months before they return to guide dogs for their formal training.
Any other free time is spent either watching or playing sport, including cricket, golf and football.
David is our newest associate, having come to IBP in March 2020.
Previously David has worked in credit management, dispute resolution and cashflow finance at senior levels during his 40-year banking career.
David is particularly skilled at sales management and business growth strategies, having headed Relationship Director teams across a variety of sectors.
David also completed a 24 month contract for the Independent Third Party addressing complaints from small business customers of a major high street bank prior to joining IBP.
